How does the TV work?

“Normal” TV

To watch normal TV, you have to open the Samsung TV Plus App. Choose from 350+ live TV channels and 1000s of movies and shows on demand, all for free. To do this, look on your remote control for the “house” icon, press it and find the Samsung TV Plus app (which looks like the logo above). Then you can use the CH+ / CH- buttons on the remote to go up or down in the channel list. Alternatively, you can press the left arrow on the remote (left of the round middle button) to go to the channel list. Enjoy!

Netflix

On this TV, you have Netflix Premium. Enjoy watching you favorite movies and TV series. You are welcome to use our account, just please make sure to select the “Guest Wohlen” user. You open Netflix by pressing the “netflix” button on the TV remote. If after pressing nothing happens, you might need to restart the TV (unplug the TV from the power (open the right door of the TV furniture and unplug the black power plug. Be careful not to unplug the internet router, as that might take 5 minutes to reboot after it has been plugged back in).

What to do with garbage?

Garbage Disposal in Wohlen, Aargau
Proper garbage disposal is important in Switzerland, and the rules can be a bit different from what you may be used to. To help you navigate the system while staying at our Airbnb in Wohlen, here’s a quick guide on what you need to know about handling waste.

General Guidelines
For short stays, you don’t need to worry too much about garbage sorting or disposal. Simply leave your garbage in the apartment when you check out, and we’ll take care of the rest.

For Longer Stays (More than a Week)
If you’re staying longer than a week, we kindly ask that you manage your garbage to keep the apartment clean and comfortable. Here’s how it works in Wohlen:

Special Garbage Bags (Abfallsäcke) In Wohlen and throughout Switzerland, household garbage must be placed in official garbage bags known as “Abfallsäcke”. These bags are available for purchase at local grocery stores and must be used for all non-recyclable waste. Using the official bags is important, as garbage left in other types of bags will not be collected and you will be fined (heavily).
Where to Buy Garbage Bags You can find Abfallsäcke at local stores like Coop, Migros, or Denner. Look for the section where household goods are sold. Bags come in different sizes, usually 17L, 35L, or 60L. Choose the size that works best for you.

Where to park a car?

Garage

We recommend you park your car in the private garage. If your car does not fit, the next best option is the visitor parking.

Visitor Parking

There are 2 visitor parking bays in front of the aparment. You can park here, but only for a maximum of 24 hours officially.

Public Parking

The apartment is located in a Parking Zone where you can use white parking spaces (yellow ones are private and your car will be towed). For the white fields, the first 3 hours are free, but you have to put a blue card / clock with your arrival time on it. After that, you have to buy a parking ticket via this link: https://www.wohlen.ch/parkkarten
